The Impulse Lab Overview

Welcome to the Impulse Lab!

“From the Brain to Behavior Change” Our Mission Statement

Our basic science mission is to understand transdiagnostic factors that influence the development and maintenance of eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, such as substance abuse, self-injury, and other diagnoses. In pursuit of this goal, we are committed to using multiple methods and types of statistical analyses to study eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.

Our applied mission is to develop and test techniques or interventions that address both eating disorder symptoms and the multiple conditions that so often co-occur with them. In pursuit of this goal, we are committed to using community stakeholder feedback to inform our development and testing efforts.

Our educational mission is to provide an environment in which undergraduate students and graduate students can fully collaborate in discussion, project development, and dissemination.
