Julie Brewer

Graduate Research Assistant

Julie is a third-year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at George Mason University. She works in the M-PHAB lab under the mentorship of Dr. Leah Adams and is interested in researching the connection between physical and mental health, particularly the use of physical activity and lifestyle interventions in populations with chronic pain.

She previously graduated summa cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in neuroscience. She worked as a clinical research coordinator at the Center for Health Outcomes and Interdisciplinary Research (CHOIR) at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she helped to develop and test interventions to improve physical and mental health outcomes in at-risk populations (e.g., acute and chronic pain, neurofibromatosis).
